I am a Chartered CIPD qualified HR professional and Insights Discovery practitioner. I have worked for Welcome Break in different roles within the People team. My current role is to lead the team of 4 People Business Partners who support the Site leadership teams to improve employee engagement by creating the right culture on our sites. This includes training, developing and supporting all of the Managers to ensure that any people issues are dealt with professionally and consistently. I am also the People Business Partner for our Support Centre team and specialise in Reward and Recognition ensuring that Welcome Break offer the most effective benefits, discounts and recognition package for the Team at Welcome Break. Welcome Break Welcome Break is one of the largest independent motorway service operators in the UK. With over 50 years working with brand partners such as Starbucks, KFC, Waitrose, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Express Harry Ramadan’s, Ramada, Days In, Shell and BP. In October 208 Welcome Break was acquired by Applegreen plc (joint ownership with Arjun infrastructure Partnership). Applegreen Applegreen plc is a convenience food and beverage retailer and fuel Forecourt service provider operating in Ireland, the UK and the US. Applegreen started in 1993 and continues to go from strength to strength under the leadership of the original founders.
