I'm a passionate collaborator at heart with boundless optimism. I have spent my career taking the initiative to move large-scale people and learning programs forward - building strong communities along the way - and providing clear, quantifiable success metrics. I am a - Director of Training, Learning, and Development, where I lead teams of program managers, instructional designers, and facilitators to create learning experiences beyond your regular training. - Speaker and writer of training-related things - because I believe in our industry and the positive impact we can make. I help people and organizations improve performance through thoughtful and strategic alignment of people-centric programs to business needs. (That's a mouthful, I know! But really - that's my passion and my goal.) I've led countless programs and worked with teams to design performance and learning experiences that align with the business needs and are quantifiable. If we create something but can't measure it - that's not the goal of a learning experience. A learning experience produces quantifiable results. But learning isn't the answer for everything - so a core function I provide is to identify the complete solution. Then, working cross-functionally, we determine the root of the challenge and how to improve performance permanently. (Hint: This often includes management, process, tools, AND training). Finally, to ensure the training department's efforts are as efficient as possible, I have developed an intake and prioritization process that provides recommendations on the final delivery of the training solution. In addition, it gives a starter conversation to help to align all stakeholders and minimize the resources needed to achieve success.
