Charlene Bostic is a ​Purchasing Officer at Hillsborough Community College. Key roles in the Purchasing department involves analysis of price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine price reasonableness. Oversees the purchasing credit card program, review audits of the cards, and notify customers of any violations. Participants in trade shows, and conferences, working with vendors to market their products and services to the college. Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure vendors and suppliers comply with contract terms and conditions. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery promptness. Review, evaluate, and approve requisitions for issuing and awarding purchase orders. Review and sign purchase orders, review contracts and agreements for conformance to the organization policies. A Certified Acquisition Professional through the Defense Acquisition University. Ms. Bostic has more than 39 years of contracting and purchasing experience with the Department of Defense and Public Procurement. She began her contracting career as an active duty member of the United States Air Force, purchasing a variety of products and services for the Air Force, ranging from small purchases of component parts to $100 million, high-tech research and development contracts. She is Level II Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) certified. She earned her Bachelor’s in Human Resource Administration from Saint Leo University and her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Saint Leo University.
