I serve as Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations for the University of South Alabama, a public institution of higher education with over 14,500 students and a health system, USA Health, that includes a college of medicine, a cancer research institute, an adult tertiary hospital, a dedicated children's and women's hospital and a physician practice of primary care, specialists and subspecialists. With over 30 years of health care experience in strategic planning and policy and a subsequent 4 plus years leading the University's development, alumni relations and special events team, I successfully led the completion of our University's largest capital campaign and participated in many health care initiatives over the past 30 years. Most recently, we successfully completed a $150 million Upward and Onward capital campaign, surpassing the goal by raising $160.9 million. Projects initiated and completed during the campaign included the construction and completion of a $85 million on campus stadium, Hancock-Whitney Stadium, the construction and completion of a new Level I Trauma Center, the Fanny Meisler Trauma Center, at University Hospital, and the construction and completion of an on-campus Alumni Center, the MacQueen Alumni Center. Our focus also includes growing undergraduate and graduate scholarships and developing scholarships that support social justice and DEI initiatives. My goal is to continue to further the strategic priorities of the University and continue to see the University of South Alabama have a profound and positive impact on our region, the education of our undergraduate and graduate students, our health care system, and our economy.
