I am a loyal UPSer, a passionate communicator and someone who is always up for a challenge. With parents who met and fell in love while working for Great Coastal Express, my connection to the transportation industry started well before I realized it. I sat in a tractor for the first time at age 1, attended my first truck rodeo at age 7, helped my mother, a safety director, speak about the “No Zone” at my county fair at age 12, accepted my first job as a clerk at a trucking company at age 15, and joined UPS Freight at age 26. After studying Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University, I joined UPS Freight (Formerly Overnite) as a customer service representative and currently serve as the UPS Freight Communications Manager. I love what I do: logistics and communication. I enjoy leading UPS Freight’s Women’s Leadership Development Committee because to me these are fun meetings where I am outside of my comfort zone, learning something new and pushing myself to do something different. One of my passions is to raise awareness for adult literacy. I serve on The READ Center's board and help plan an annual adult spelling bee to help the center's mission to teach adults to read for free. And, yes - I was born in April on the luckiest day of the month... 13th.
