I am an entrepreneur and venture capitalist focused on early stage technology. I've been involved with some great companies but my investment in Oddpost influenced me the most and reflects best the way I invest and manage my involvement with start-ups. At Oddpost, I bought into the relationships and their lean start-up philosophy and in turn, found my passion for getting involved in companies in their infancy. I co-founded both about.me and Sphere because I felt there was a market need not being addressed and the timing was right for me to gain valuable hands-on startup operational experience. I learned the value of being nimble, able to shift to make an idea or product better and that this ability made for better business. I also experienced first-hand how important a support structure is in an entrepreneurs success - the journey can be uncertain and surrounding yourself with experienced Advisors is both fun but critical to achieving success. It's fun being both a venture capitalist and founder, they are symbiotic, providing perspective that helps guide my decision making as an entrepreneur and investor. I am lucky to combine both in my current role at True Ventures. I am able to work in a way that exemplifies my belief in people and ignites my enthusiasm for companies in their youth.
