BIOGRAPHY Few men are as provocative and polarizing as Dr. Ergun Caner, and even fewer have smiled all the way through it. Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1966, Caner was raised a devout Sunni Muslim by his Turkish father who came to America to build Mosques. As the oldest of the three sons, Ergun was led to Christ by a persistent High School friend. Caner has been preaching and teaching almost since that day some thirty years ago. On December 2, 2013, he was unanimously elected as the 16th President of Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia. From 2011 until his recent election, Caner was Provost & Academic Dean at Arlington Baptist College in Texas. He has written over twenty books, many with his brother, Dr. Emir Caner, President of Truett-McConnell College in Georgia. Caner is one of the most popular speakers on the circuit, having spoken in hundreds of youth camps, evangelism conferences and Apologetic conferences. Caner had earned five degrees from accredited institutions, including three Masters degrees and a D.Theol. from the University of South Africa. He teaches and preaches on Global Apologetics, but he quickly attests that his greatest joy is seeing God raise up two amazing Christian sons from his marriage of almost twenty years to his wife Jill.
