Feldmann Communication Strategies
Home -- Towson University
Authenticity is my superpower. I am an "empowerer" and a talented communications professional with 30 years of experience in media relations, crisis communication, issues management, media and social media strategy, and government relations. After working for five years in higher education at Towson University, I opened my own communications strategies firm in June 2018. Before moving into higher education, I worked in Maryland state government and the private sector. I served as assistant press secretary and press secretary, respectively, for two Maryland governors -- both of whom overwhelmingly won re-election bids -- in addition to serving chief media relations spokesperson for several state agencies including environment and transportation. I was working in Washington, DC on 9/11/01 and during the days, weeks and months that followed. I was interviewed on safety, security and terrorism issues by local, national, and international media. In the private sector, I was a senior manager at a Maryland-based communications firm that specializes in media relations, government relations, community relations and crisis communication. I successfully managed accounts with several state and local government clients. I have also successfully completed advanced leadership training at the U.S. Naval Academy, active shooter training, and terrorism recognition and response training. I currently live in Annapolis, Maryland with my wife, Christine, and our two amazing teens. We actively sponsor two Naval Academy Midshipmen — a women’s lacrosse player and a women’s basketball player. Go Navy!
