After my ski bum years, I developed foundational sales skills in non-technical environments: I sold windows and siding door to door, I sold tax resolution services over the phone, I sold family photos on a train and, of course, I sold Cadillacs on a car lot. My big break came when I was hired as an SDR at a pre-IPO SaaS startup. As we scaled the Denver office from dozens to hundreds I learned the importance of culture when building a satellite office. To me, culture is all about getting a group of people to believe in something bigger than themselves. This may explain why I opted to stay in Demand Gen instead of going into full-cycle sales. In addition to cultivating a collaborative culture, as a Sales Development leader, I'm at the tip of the spear for revenue generation. It is not lost on me that just as I'm responsible for generating top of funnel pipeline I'm equally responsible for developing the next generation of sales leaders. In my personal life, I'm a proud husband and father that enjoys tree skiing, mountain biking, and exploring the archives of the Grateful Dead.
