I grew up in executive search and J. Robert Scott exposed me to the venture capital and start-up community, where I had the privilege of partnering with and getting to know some of the true luminaries of industry as an executive headhunter. The experience taught me two things 1) a brilliant product or service is worthless without the right leadership team and 2) I wanted to be part of an organization that was in hyper growth. Luckily (and I do mean luckily) I was offered the chance to join the sales team at LinkedIn at a point where it was about to explode. LinkedIn was destined to succeed because it not only had a powerfully simple and disruptive product, but equally brilliant leadership that made talent their #1 priority. After a year of helping companies leverage LinkedIn to hire the most talented professionals at massive scale, the company took a risk and gave me the opportunity to hire and develop the future leaders of our organization as a Sales Development Manager and then as a Regional Sales Manager. The transformative experience I was so fortunate to have at LinkedIn has led me most recently to Dropbox where I was tasked with growing marketshare by building a sales team focused on moving up segment quickly in an effort to grab market share in a highly competitive space. Over the past 3 years, we've built the team from a handful to several hundred, brought a winning product to market that our customers love and have grown revenue exponentially QoQ and YoY. It's been one of the most challenging and rewarding periods of my professional career and has taught me so much. Outside the office I'm a bit of a thrill seeker and my battered, surgically repaired body is a testament to that. Whether it's skiing the palisades at Squaw Valley or cycling up Route 1, I'm probably going too fast :) I've been fortunate to have incredible mentors and managers and feel obligated to always pay it forward, so don't hesitate to reach out and let me know how I can help you!
