The College of New Jersey, a primarily undergraduate institution, provides academically prepared students with a challenging education and a rewarding residential experience, small classes and a prestigious faculty. Operations Management: In various leadership roles in Enrollment Management, I established systems and procedures that supported the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment strategies for the Admissions Office by turning them into successful practices. As a result, the College has seen its applicant pool double and the percentage of accepted students who enroll increase. Incoming classes have steadily increased in terms of diversity, average SAT/ACT scores and class rank. Technology Development: A key part of my success at the TCNJ was based on my creation of a form driven, user friendly software system to manage all major functional areas of the admissions office, such as: tracking and reporting admissions statistics on a daily basis; managing recruitment travel, scheduling daily tour visitation, and admission decision notification. This system was further developed and implemented at Fairfield University, under the name AdmissionsWare, and includes: prospect management tools, an application viewer, report querying and generation, counselors travel schedules, a high school directory, on-campus and off-campus recruitment and visitation management tools. It has successfully supported the Admission Office at Fairfield University for ten years. Social Media and Web 2.0 Development: Director of Admissions Technology and Operations I have had the opportunity to lead our efforts in developing social media and web 2.0 technologies into our Admissions recruitment plan. These technologies have included developing and implementing a plan to use Facebook, Twitter, Zinch, CollegeConfidential as well as Blogs, Online Chats, Instant Messaging, and email marketing.
