Suva - More than just insuranceSuva’s three core business areas are prevention, insurance and rehabilitation. For the purpose of rehabilitation, Suva has its own clinics in Bellikon and Sion.Active since 1918, Suva has a total workforce of around 3,100 employees working at its head office in Lucerne, at its 18 agencies throughout Switzerland and at its two rehabilitation clinics in Bellikon and Sion. A financially independent body incorporated under public law, Suva insures around 118,000 companies and 1.9 million employees respectively against the consequences of accidents and occupational diseases. Unemployed people are automatically insured with Suva. Since 2005, Suva has also been responsible for military insurance by government mandate. Suva generates premiums to the approximate amount of CHF4.4bn. Suva's range of services encompasses prevention, insurance and rehabilitation. Suva is self-supporting, operates without any state subsidies and returns any profits to its insurees in the form of lower premiums. Suva's social partners – employers and employees – are represented on the Board of Directors, as is the Swiss federal government.

Geboren und aufgewachsen bin ich in der schönen Stadt Luzern. Neben dem Studium der Betriebsökonomie mit Schwerpunkt Onlinekommunikation an der Hochschule Luzern war ich für die Luzerner Kinos als Operateur (Filmvorführer, damals noch mit 35-mm-Film) tätigt und arbeitete für einen Filmverleiher. Nach dem Studium arbeitete ich die fünf Jahre als Berater/Projektleiter für digitale Kommunikation bei der namhaften Werbeagentur Wirz in Zürich. Während dieser Zeit bildete ich mich an der Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich im Bereich Social Media Management weiter. Seit einer kurzen Reiseunterbrechung im Jahr 2013 arbeite ich nun bei der Suva in Luzern als Kommunikationsberater Digitale Medien / Product Owner suva.ch. Neben der neuen Stelle habe ich 2013 auch weitere Weiterbildungen (CAS Online Customer Management and Integration & CAS Online Media and Campaign Management) angefangen welche ich mittlerweile mit dem Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Digital Marketing and Communication Management abgeschlossen habe.
