President of Silgan Containers LLC since 2007. Silgan Containers is a $3B+ metal food container manufacturing subsidiary company of Silgan Holdings, a $5B+ company, publicly traded on the NASDAQ. Executive Vice President of Operations for Silgan Containers from July 2006 until October 2007. Responsible for manufacturing, engineering, and quality leadership of 30 production facilities, strategic sourcing, the commercial sales organization, the service organization and the marketing strategy for the company. Vice President – Sales & Marketing of Silgan Containers from July 2002 until July 2006, Director of Sales of Silgan Containers from May 2000 until July 2002 and National Account Manager for Silgan Containers from May 1993 until May 2000. Prior to that held a variety of customer technical service, materials and project engineering and manufacturing management positions. Actively involved in industry associations, experiences include; Chairman of the board for the CMI (Can Manufacturers Institute) 4 years, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the School of Packaging at Michigan State University 5 years, and member of the Chairman's Advisory Council for the GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) 10 years, CFA (Canned Food Alliance) executive committee member 5 years. Currently serving on the FPIC (Food Processing Innovation Center) advisory board at Michigan State University, and the advisory board for the School of Packaging. Involved in the local community and have served as the President of a private preschool through 8th grade school board 2 years.
