After two years as a Partner with Refinery Investments, I recently took over as General Partner of NextChem Capital, a Private Equity Fund focused on Specialty Chemicals and Materials. I am excited about this new chapter in my career. Until February 2020, I was the CEO for 17 years of SantoLubes. I was responsible for developing and implementing the strategies to grow the SantoLubes and we did this both through organic growth and acquisitions. Throughout my career, I have developed businesses. I originated a Mergers & Acquisition practice in chemicals for F. Eberstadt, my own investment banking business, and acquired a small, $3 million, specialty chemical company and grew it to $35 million. I have generally been the "face" of the business with customers. Consequently, I was required to do significant domestic and international travel. One of my core beliefs is communication, both the good and the bad. For example, at SantoLubes, I wrote a weekly update for management, investors, and lenders, a weekly newsletter for hourly employees, and for the monthly newsletter we created at SantoLubes, I wrote a letter from the President.
