I am an eager, young professional interested in researching low-income families' involvement in their students' education. I strive to support families and their children through collaborative, strengths-based, culturally-affirming research approaches. Specifically, I plan to generate both research questions and findings that are action oriented, and contextually sensitive. It is my hope that these research outcomes will create the conditions for researchers, practitioners, and parents to collaboratively engage in and implement realistic, holistic, long-lasting solutions to cyclical problems in diverse communities.
