Mike has a unique cross-disciplinary background.He has deep operating experience as a serial VC –backed entrepreneur across 7 successful ventures, is now in his 8th VC backed tech startup, was an early team member in the launch of several successful new businesses within HP, holds long-standing faculty appointments at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and the Technical University of Denmark & has been involved in national economic development, with a distinct focus on global entrepreneurial coaching, innovation policy & innovation cluster acceleration & tech commercialization & transfer in the Americas, Asia & Europe.He served as a management consultant with McKinsey.As an entrepreneur, he was involved in the formation of 7 advanced tech start-ups & helped lead all 7 VC-backed start-up companies to successful exits ( 2X a multiple exit- both an IPO and then a strategic trade-sale) for his VC investors, including 2 NASDAQ IPOs & 5 high multiple trade sales to strategics. He currently serves as Advisor to numerous global start-ups & is Managing Director of StartupNEXT Boston & a Community Impact Fellow with OpenIDEO, leads hackathons & keynotes conferences around the world.
