The district's commitment to wind-generated power marks the implementation of a comprehensive energy and environmental management strategy by the District that includes facility upgrades through performance contracting, energy demand management and commodity contracts, and education and awareness energy conservation programs. Julio Cruz is a community and people advocate who has been a leader in youth intervention, outreach to the Hispanic, POC and disabled communities. Among his achievements: * Family Advocate at the Mental Health Association/Better Days Ahead Program. * Youth Intervention Specialist at Pathways To Peace Organization. * Parent Representative on the Committee on Special Education for the Rochester City School District (RCSD) assisting parents in understanding their rights; along with programs available through the District. * Youth Care Professional at Hopewell Youth Detention Center. * Assistant Care Manager at Catholic Charities. * Program Coordinator and Homeless Outreach Specialist at the Bureau of Youth Services; assisting the Spanish speaking and other members of the P.O.C. Community. * Monthly community outreach in different povershed City locations by providing free clothing, barbecued food, care packages, footwear, brand new socks, etc.
