I'm a computer guy. I like fixing things and making them work. What I really love doing is web programming. I've been doing PHP since 2001. That includes private projects for myself, freelance projects for my customers, working on the e-commerce site of a major national fast food chain, and an entire site I built from the ground up to help out with staffing at a previous job I had. Object-oriented and procedural, I've done it all. Outside of my 9-to-5 job, I'm currently working on a web site for my podcast, another web site that I plan to turn into an iPhone (and probably Android) app, and learning Golang, React, and Laravel. For fun, though? Well...coding! Really, this is what I love to do! I'm also a music lover. I play a few instruments and write tunes now and then. And the night before Thanksgiving 2006 I got to shake hands with one of my biggest musical heroes: Brian Wilson; the only thing that could top that, as far as I'm concerned, is a Beatle. Also, I still have a passion for the classic video games I played as a little kid in the '80s; at least once a month I make a trip to West Dundee to play some games at Underground Retrocade, where I hold the house high score on Jr. Pac-Man Turbo at 1,223,150. And I'm happy to say that the video game consoles I own and use are Atari 5200 and Atari 7800. I also cohost a podcast on classic arcade video games, Pie Factory Podcast. In fact, I love podcasting and also cohost a Beach Boys podcast with my wife, and we call it Tune X Podcast.
