I’m a degree educated, experienced, creative and highly motivated communications professional, with a strong customer engagement focus, a tenacious attitude and a track record of delivering effective results. Skilled in all areas of employee internal communications (IC) I’m expert in business partnering, campaigns and organisational change communications and activities including: strategic and tactical planning; stakeholder mapping and management; governance and team management; measurement and analysis. My current role as internal communications business partner in Openreach involves: managing and delivering core change communications to support internal organisational and behavioural change programmes; developing and delivering a variety of employee communications - events, road shows, round tables, calls, webcasts, videos, newsletters, web sites, manager packs - to improve employee engagement; measuring the impact of communications through dashboards.Prior to this I was creating and implementing strategic company-wide & departmental communications plans to support high-level objectives in BT Global Services including: customer experience, customer service, employee engagement and security. Throughout my responsibilities have included: writing exceptional copy, flitting between high-level strategic planning and day-to-day management of operational communications, working with leadership teams, stakeholder communities and communications partners, managing all my projects by being a stickler for detail and hyper organised... but with the resilience to flex when plans change. Before this I was a channel manager and then site editor of BT’s first broadband customer portals, BT Openworld and BT Yahoo! Prior to working with BT, I spent 12 years as a journalist in a consumer environment editing and launching numerous consumer magazines and web sites including Red and Q online.
