As Head of Group Human Resources, I lead the People and Organisational strategy at OCBC Bank, across our offices in 18 countries. This is an area I am extremely passionate about and echo the Bank’s culture of believing in potential and investing in people.I started my career at Citibank in fixed income sales trading, and have built over 30 years of experience in financial services at Volvo Group Treasury Asia Limited, Standard Chartered and KBC, a Belgium-based bank, before joining OCBC Bank as the Global Head of Asset & Liability Management. Having worked on the business side in leadership positions in sales and treasury services, making the switch into human capital management two years ago puts me in a strong position to influence and build our people agenda that will drive business decisions and enable the Bank’s growth strategy.Things are changing. With a focus on people analytics, employer branding and social recruitment, social and collaborative learning, and underpinned by strong relationship management and continuous investments in systems and technologies, our HR team sits firmly at the centre of the Bank’s strategy and this is exciting.I currently serve as a Director of The Institute of HR Professionals, and I am also a member of the HR Sectoral Tripartite Committee and IBF Future-Enabled Workgroup.
