Growing up, I was always fascinated by technology, as technology grew up along with me. I got to witness corded landlines turn into wireless home phones, which turned into cell phones, which turned into smartphones. Witnessing the evolution of technology led me to go study Electrical Engineering at The University of Alabama. During my time there I got to learn all about how our technology is built, through classes on Circuits, Electronics, C and Python programming, and Embedded Systems, among others. By the time it came to apply for jobs post-graduation, the numerous career fairs and company visits at school had inspired me to pursue a career in the defense industry. After graduation, I ended up in Baltimore at Northrop Grumman, where I got to work on testing radar modules for projects for the US Department of Defense. Not too long after starting, however, I grew homesick for the South, even though I was born and raised in the Northeast. Luck would have it that I would find a position in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), where I would get to do similar work. This time, instead of radar modules, I was testing software applications. Now, I am using my technical background and the business education of the MBA program at the Scheller College of Business to obtain a role in Product Management, Product Marketing Management, or Strategy in the tech industry.
