Alessandro Menon is Vice President at Nomura in the FIG Investment Banking practice, covering banks, asset management and fintech. Throughout his career, he has been involved in executing M&A, strategic and transaction advisory mandates for various European financial institutions across a broad of sectors and geographies. Before joining Nomura in early 2015, Alessandro was Associate in the FIG Investment Banking team of Societe Generale in London, where he worked on several M&A mandates on behalf of external clients as well as in support of the group's corporate development team. Before joining Societe Generale, he was Manager in the FIG Transaction Advisory team of Ernst & Young in Paris, where he was in charge of the development of the FIG Corporate Finance practice (with focus of valuation and modelling for Financial institutions). While at Ernst & Young, he worked on 25+ deals, including financial advisory, valuation, buy/sell side due diligence, fairness opinions. In 2014, he co-founded Yoongo.com, a “crowd funding” platform enabling its users to collect money quickly and effectively and for a broad range of purposes (sharing costs, financing a cause, wedding registry).Yoongo operates in France, Italy and Benelux and serves approximately 20,000 users.
