Currently: I manage the Caseload Manager system, edit the weekly Mediate.com newsletter, and train individuals and companies to resolve and prevent conflict. I train mediators--find my certified, 40-hr Basic Mediation Training at www.ClareFowler.com. I also enjoy getting to do workplace mediation, and to help others get established in this great field. I also enjoy teaching at the University of Oregon's School of Law Conflict Resolution Program. Previous Experience: Mediation assistant at the Supreme Court, HI, International Aid Coach in Central America, Protecting the Rights of the Child Project Assistant with the United Nations, Chair of the United Nations Association Young Professionals for International Cooperation. Program Administrator for Career and International Development at the Straus Insitute for Dispute Resolution. Specialties: My focus is on Workplace Mediation. I specialize in resolving disputes in small- to medium-sized businesses. I am also interested in looking at companies to see what systems they have in place that are continually causing problems, and how to tweak or completely redesign those systems. I also have experience in: Multi-party negotiation, faith-based dispute resolution, career coaching, international aid, multi-generational, and multi-ethnic reconciliation.
