• Research Skills: Innovative & excellent in conducting creative research that leads to publications, funding & manufacturing. • Telecommunication Protocols: Strong knowledge of Wireless Communication network, Wavelength-Division Multiplexed (WDM) networks, VLAN, Traffic Engineering, MPLS and Ethernet. Very good and strong understanding of various networking and communication protocols (TCP, IP, ATM, PPP, Ethernet, QoS, SONET, GSM, CDMA) and different routing and signaling protocols (OSPF, RIP, BGP, RSVP, LDP). • Routing Algorithms: Very strong understanding of different routing algorithms (Dijkstra, Bellman-Ford, Spanning Tree, etc.). • Simulation Tools Implementation: Excellent experience in developing simulation tools for telecommunication networks using Discrete Event Simulation technique (Routing, WDM networks, LAN, EPON, Metro, wireless networks). • Lab Skills: Good experience in building lab test-beds. • Programming Languages: C++, MATLAB, Java. • Simulation tools: OPNET, Opportunistic Networking Environment (ONE) simulator • Operating Systems: Strong working knowledge with WINDOWS, LINUX/UNIX • Standards: good understanding & working with standards (IEEE, IEC, IETF, MEF) • Project Life Cycle Management and leadership: Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills. Able to propose ideas for new projects. A very good team player and a team leader as well as self-motivated who can work independently. Lead the team members throughout the implementation. Help executing the project, analyzing the results and do statistical analysis. Can define long term work as well as deliver on short term needs and deadlines.
