As Chief Digital Officer, Americas, for Maxus Global Media (a unit of GroupM & WPP), Jonathan, and the Maxus executive team, are architecting the digital direction for the company and it’s many clients – as well as oversee the company’s digital team and evermore-embedded offering. With over 2500 team members in 55 countries, Maxus is still a young and agile organization, born in the digital age. Prior to Maxus, Jonathan was Senior Vice President and Head of North American Media at iCrossing (Hearst). There Jonathan led the 175+ person media and analytics practices, which managed clients such as DIRECTV, William's Sonoma, PNC Bank, LEGO, Hilton Hotels, Coca-Cola and Toyota.Previously, Jonathan spent nine years with Digitas (Publicis Groupe) and seven years with OgilvyOne (WPP) as SVP, Global Media and Senior Partner, Group Media Director, respectively. Prior to both, he’d spent time at Lowe (Interpublic) and The Media Edge (now MEC).Mr. Adams is recognized as an industry leader having served as Chairman of the AAAA Digital Marketing Committee, as well as honored by Advertising Age, Media Magazine and the University of Florida (2013 “Alumnus of Distinction").Through his 20+ year digital and traditional media career, he has managed a number of clients and categories including Delta Air Lines (global), Post Foods, Equifax, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Kraft Foods, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Motorola, Sears.com, American Express, IBM and Kimberly-Clark. Jonathan currently holds advisory board posts with Millennial Media, AOL, iMedia, Digiday, the IAB, Microsoft and Google.A native of Miami, Florida, Jonathan joined the New York advertising community in 1991. While a programmer / engineer at heart (read: nerd), he quickly found his way to the University of Florida’s College of Journalism & Communications – and graduated with a B.S. in advertising and management. Jonathan lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with his wife, Karen, and twin boys.
