✦ FROM STOCK CLERK TO C-LEVEL EXECUTIVE ✦ My career has been marked by a series of transitions, progressions, and promotions within the State of Maryland’s operations. My passion for doing excellent work and willingness to do any task necessary for the overall success of the team soon, and frequently, got me recognized as a team player worthy of promotion. ✦ THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE AND NEW SKILLS ✦ As I progressed through a few departments, my drive to learn new things propelled me to master a variety of information technology (IT) skills and earn several certifications. I continued to move up the ranks, leveraging my skills, and work ethic, and proving my value. ✦ RECOGNITION AS A PROVEN AND COMPASSIONATE LEADER ✦ I was promoted to work in the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) as the Agency’s email administrator and continued to receive promotions based on outstanding work performance. My desire to lead engaged, efficient, driven, and innovative teams was recognized, and I was awarded several promotions to leadership positions. I enjoy helping others succeed and understand the importance of individual contributions to the success of the whole team and organization. ✦ BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS ✦ PROCUREMENT OF INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS ✦ In my position as SDAT’s Chief Information Officer, I foster a team culture that is leading a revolution in government technology and seek ways to improve productivity and modernize operations.
