I am an experienced and accomplished photographer and have established an impressive, award-winning portfolio of work over the course of a 17-year career, having had my pictures published regularly in the national press. I am skilled at adapting to all kinds of new technology and computer software and I am keen to develop a new career in IT, building on the experience I already have and the new skills I have acquired through studying for a Comp TIA A+ qualification. I have built up a solid reputation within the media for professionalism and high-quality work which has enabled me to run my own successful freelance business, dealing daily with clients, customers and members of the public. I pride myself on having strong communication skills and providing excellent customer service and have developed a strong roster of commercial and non-commercial PR clients including the Scottish Government. I am a highly-motivated and committed self-starter with strong IT, marketing and commercial experience and I thrive on solving problems and tackling new challenges; my position as a Lance Corporal in the British Army Reserve has equipped me with a range of transferrable skills and an appreciation of core values like hard work, discipline, mental resilience, teamwork and organisation. ___________________ Key Skills & Competencies: Software/Technological Expertise: I possess excellent IT skills and I am proficient in a wide range of software packages and photography/video/imaging tools; the completion of my Comp TIA A+ qualification will enhance my existing IT expertise. Communication: I am a confident communicator with an enthusiastic personality which have helped establish my impressive list of high-profile clients (including Whyte & Mackay, TGI Fridays and the Scottish Government). Customer Service: I have well-developed interpersonal skills and I am adept at handling and resolving any issues or problems that may arise. Personal drive: As a self-starter I bring commitment to each task and I have built up a bank of editorial and commercial contacts in a successful career.
