Engineering Manager, Kustomer
The Customer-Centric Platform
I'm the lead Front-End Developer at Windsor Circle, and a graduate of Duke & Carnegie Mellon. I've spent my whole career working on web applications, generally with about an 80/20 split between front end and backend work. I'm quite comfortable working on the server-side, but my expertise is primarily in JavaScript and front-end development. Over the last several years I have gained significant experience working with a variety of JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including Marionette.js (to which I've contributed code and documentation help), Backbone, KnockoutJS, jQuery, Jasmine, and Underscore/LoDash. I also spend a considerable time making sure I'm keeping up with new developments in the front-end world and have a good understanding of the benefits and tradeoffs of newer technologies like ReactJS, Ember, and Angular 1/2. I write about front-end development and software tools at my blog: http://benmccormick.org A quick message for recruiters: I am not interested in relocating from the Raleigh-Durham area. I also get a lot of recruiter messages, and therefore am not able to answer all of them. If you want to hear back from me about a position, please include the following information: - Name of the company - Exact Job Role - Job Location - Why you contacted me specifically and why you think I'd be a fit (non-generic) - Approximate Role salary I recognize that this may not be your normal practice, and might add effort to the process, so if it is too much, feel free to pass on me and send your messages along to somebody else. Thanks!
