Joyce understands that a single moment can spark a trajectory toward transformation. She’s discovered that her passion (and her purpose) is helping others embrace those epiphanies when they happen. Described by her peers as the “human version of the Energizer Bunny,” Joyce brings skill and enthusiasm to everything she does. She has spent more than 20 years in senior-level roles in multiple industries, activating innovation and overseeing multi-year strategic projects that impact companies for many years to come. From information technology to operations, human resources, strategic planning, and project management, Joyce understands what it takes to deliver success. As President at Epiphany Industrial Technologies and as Chief Information Officer at Holt CAT (Caterpillar), Joyce has experience in domestic and global construction, manufacturing, retail and financial services organizations. Joyce embraces the evolving role of technology as an enabler of business growth and digital transformation. Supporting the communities where she lives and works matters to Joyce. Through her work as a Board member for Texas Research and Tech Foundation and as an appointed member of the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, she has helped invigorate the PreK-12 talent pipeline toward STEM careers. Joyce continuously advocates for increasing diversity and inclusion in the technology industry, especially for women. She supports quality education by serving on the United Way of Bexar County TX Advisory Council and was a Board member for United Way of Central Iowa for three terms. She also currently serves as a Board member for the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Northern Iowa. Joyce holds an MBA from Drake University with an Entrepreneurial Studies emphasis and a BA in Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Joyce has also received professional certificates in executive leadership, strategic decision-making, design-thinking, and innovation from London Business School, Yale, Cornell, and MIT. Drawing on the knowledge and skills she developed through each of those programs, Joyce served as an adjunct professor at Drake University helping emerging leaders find success.
