Darlene V Barnwell is a founding family member of Kids 'R' Kids International, Inc. and was raised in the early pre-school industry with her brother, David Vinson and parents. Darlene has been with Kids 'R' Kids professionally since 1985-1987 as a 3-year-old classroom teacher. After receiving her Bachelor degree for Music Education at Brenau University, she decided to stay with Kids 'R' Kids and teach until 1992. Soon after, Darlene and her husband built their very own Kids 'R' Kids in Suwanee, Georgia 1992-1996. Darlene hired staff, planned monthly training sessions, conducted bimonthly parent meetings, promoted enrollment, and coordinated and taught music to all the age groups. In 1996, her and her husband sold their school,and Darlene began working with her parents at Kids 'R' Kids International, Inc. from 1995-1997. She worked as a QA Specialist and then branched into marketing, and co-wrote the first Marketing Guidebook. With a love for writing, Darlene published parenting articles in a magazine called Season for Kids. Her love for working directly with families and children took her back into another school which she owned and directed from 1996-1999. During that time, her and her husband bought another school where she updated the existing school and directed from 1998-2003. During her time at the that school, her family invested in an out-of-state school and helped operate from 2000-2003. Darlene returned to Kids 'R' Kids International, Inc. From 2003-2008. She was a member of the Training Department, where she researched and wrote training classes, trained for GAYC Conferences, the Georgia Child Abuse Conference, the SBA and NAEYC. Darlene then started the Marketing Department and is presently the Director of Marketing. She is now busy maintaining the corporate website, Facebook and other social media content. She also helps produce videos, updates marketing content as the industry changes and writes Webinars to promote new campaigns for the Academies.
