I'm an Administrative Assistant with 9+ years experience in a corporate office environment. After digging up ancient bones for a summer post-college, I landed in the Asian Foods industry, where I have handled a number of administrative tasks - from preparing inter-departmental bill backs, learning the complexities of Liquor compliance on the go to Accounts Payables and Receivables support. In my free time, I am an enthusiastic fan of most things geeky, and I run a blog and corresponding social media covering my pop culture loves, travel, books, and writing. I'm an Editor for the geek lifestyle magazine Sartorial Geek, where I help curate articles for the magazine, manage the blog and connected community, and contribute articles as needed. I am also a co-creator and co-host of the Sartorial Geek's popular online fashion challenge #SGFashionFix, a hashtag that has garnered over a thousand entries in less than a year. My fandom activities tend towards community development, and as part of a group of Star Wars friends and fans called @galactic_coven on Instagram, I helped source prizes and promote monthly giveaways benefiting charitable and social justice causes. In August 2020, our group account hosted a virtual event to make up for cancelled conventions. As part of a small committee, I built content panels, managed the media posting schedule, created social media graphics, and did outreach to small shops and fandom creators for features. As a result of our efforts, we increased our engagement over the course of those 4 days exponentially. I'm also an avid reader and a participant in the online Young Adult books community, who supports literacy, reading, and diversity in KidLit. Lastly, I'm a published poet with work appearing in the award-winning speculative fiction magazine Strange Horizons. In other words, I love stories and mine is a work in progress. ✒️
