Matthew began his labor in 1977 at the United States Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. There he led the native-speaker training program for the Indonesian/American Bi-national Center as a full-time instructor. On returning to the USA, he completed a BA degree in Communications at James Madison University. There, he worked full-time as a dormitory advisor while he excelled in the ROTC program as a scholarship cadet. Matthew matriculated with honors as a Distinguished Military Graduate in 1981 and accepted an officer’s commission rising to the rank of Captain. In 1988, Matthew began his civilian career in operations management and quality leadership development with two Fortune 50 Companies: Baxter and Becton Dickinson. Extending equal time to both corporations over a 4-year period, he supervised and trained teams, reviewed and revised SOP libraries, budgeted and implemented production plan and financial forecasts. A corporate layoff then provided him the opportunity to begin his career as a sales and marketing management professional. Matt's demonstrated skills as an effective communicator, people oriented leader and quality leadership manager made him an exceptional sales representative with a variety of firms from consumable supplies to capital equipment. Over the years, his sales achievements have included: Top Gun and Profit Excellence Awards. Matt's broad experience and specific skill set from the military to manufacturing to distribution and sales & marketing have made him a valuable, solution-oriented asset to his clients.
