- Currently, active as Strategic Development Director at imec IC-link. - Started my career at Philips / NXP. In 2000, started working as a Senior Scientist with Philips Research, where experience was built up in the field of copper and low-k dielectrics. In 2002, taking the lead in the interconnect research (focusing on the 32-nm node) in Philips Research Leuven, Belgium. In 2007, the interconnect research project was closed, after which I concentrated on photovoltaic technology for indoor applications, thin film batteries, gas sensors and biosensor technology for infectious diseases. From 2009 to 2013, I was working as a project leader in NXP Research coordinating multiple projects in an European concept. From the two largest projects, one focuses on sensor solutions to monitor perishables in their supply chain and the other on biosensor platform for infectious and cardiovascular diseases. In 2013, moved to Corporate Strategy as R&D Program Manager at the External Relations department of NXP Semiconductors. Responsible for the initiation, follow-up and closure of new cooperative (subsidy) projects within the entire NXP R&D environment. - Received M.Sc.degree in molecular sciences from Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 1995 and Ph.D. degree in radiation chemistry from the Technoloigcal University of Delft, The Netherlands in 2000.
