Huttig Building Products is the nations largest distributor of wholesale specialty building and millwork products.

I recently completed a rewarding 23 year run at Huttig Building Products Inc., a nationwide distributor of residential building material with a revenue stream of more than $900M. Huttig was acquired by Woodgrain in March of 2022, and after agreeing to stay for an additional year, it is time to move on to the next phase of my career. I had the pleasure of working with an incredible group of people and proud to have left the company after achieving record setting profits in 2021. Woodgrain is a great, family own business, and I worked with the leadership group to ensure a seamless transition was made for both them and my team. I was Vice-President for a majority of my career with Huttig and specialized in both operations and supply chain management. I am a result driven leader with a proven track record in developing and executing business plans, building teams, hiring/retaining personnel, increasing productivity, managing inventory, and improving financial performance. I led many of the company’s key operational initiatives over the years which included: 1)Introducing and implementing Lean principles and tools 2)Improving safety performance and culture 3)Increasing margins through diversified pricing strategies I understand what is required to build these programs from the ground up, and more importantly, achieve sustainable results. I am motivated and seeking a full-time position where I can leverage my extensive experience to lead the daily operational functions of a business and execute the goals. I am a self-starter who interfaces well with all levels of personnel in an organization, and I know the value of understanding vendor and customer expectations. As my career progressed, I continually strived to be a mentor to the people I managed. NOTE: Open to consulting engagements where mutually beneficial opportunities are identified.
