Hunter is a British heritage brand renowned for its iconic Original boot. Founded in Scotland in 1856 by American entrepreneur Henry Lee Norris as the North British Rubber Company, the brand has a history of innovation and pioneering design. Headquartered today in Edinburgh, Scotland with offices in London, New York and Dusseldorf, the brand builds on its heritage of almost 160 years, creating footwear and outerwear to protect from the weather and perform across all terrains.

An MBA qualified, commercially focused and entrepreneurial senior leader with experience of leadership, strategic planning and turnaround change globally. I have worked across sectors, industries and functions, in corporates, family businesses, Private Equity backed portfolio companies and ‘start-ups’ in an international context, living and working in several different countries. My eclectic background has included: a first career in the military where I experienced a multitude of leadership challenges in the most complex circumstances (in a unit which is the very definition of high performance); a business development role in complex environments for a leading architectural firm; project management for Cisco Systems; HR consulting and leadership development with some of the world’s leading blue-chip companies as part of a best-in-class, disruptive start-up consultancy and now; in the fashion industry with Hunter Boots (historically my home town brand) as a Group HRD, leading HR and PMO teams in London, Edinburgh, New York, Tokyo and Shenzhen. The ‘red thread’ to this career has been leading people and high performance teams whilst driving through change, where authenticity, values and integrity have been to the fore.
