The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra is entering its 55th performance season, and throughout these years has been the leader in community engagement in the arts. Innovative HSO education programs include the Third Grade Violin Program, which offers introductory string instruction in over 40 elementary schools in several counties of north Alabama; beginning classes as well as ensemble and orchestra participation for adults; Opus Tadpole, an interactive session for young children prior to the Sneak Previews open rehearsals associated with each Classical concert; annual Young People's Concerts attended by 8,000 area fourth graders; and much, much more. Continuing a policy of many years, FIRST-TIME SUBSCRIBERS to any or all series of the HSO receive a 50% discount.
