My name is Dr Oliver Laitenberger. I am working as a partner in a top-management consultancy in the areas of agile development, digitization & digital transformation and information technology. The focal point of my work is the alignment of business and IT departments with respect to governance, portfolio- and project management, organization, processes and architecture. In the orchestration of these areas, I consider Information technology as a means to an end not an end in itself towards the common goals of effectiveness, efficiency and growth. My primary business context is financial services (insurance and banking) as well as industry. My mission is to get in contact with C-Level executives and consult/support them in their management challenges. Driven from an overall strategic blueprint (“big picture”) I support and manage the required transformation activities involving the set up of the “right” governance rules, the evolution from static to more liquid organizational structures, the translation and transfer of standard processes in comprehensive, agile process frameworks and the decoupling of highly integrated legacy architectures in organic ones. With the big picture and the top-management goals in mind, I am acting with high professionalism and empathy for the client organization on all management levels in close collaboration with its employees. I independently reflect and rethink existing solutions and/or develop new ones in close collaboration with the client using state-of-the-art change management techniques and tools. At the end, it is the impact and the added-value for the organization that defines the return of consulting. My specific area of expertise and experiences is related to agile development, digital transformation as well as Business & IT management from a strategic perspective.
