I have been with HCSC for over ten years, currently serving as Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer. In this position I manage Health Care Service Corporation’s (HCSC's) Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) initiatives, ensuring that diversity and inclusion remain cornerstones of HCSC's culture and continue to be integrated into its business operations. Prior to my role as Chief Diversity Officer, I was Chief of Staff for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), responsible for supporting all activities of the Office of the President, including strategic planning, messaging and positioning, budget and personnel administration and coordination. I enjoy working in diversity and inclusion because I am able fulfill my passion of connecting to the communities we serve through our diverse workforce. A workforce that is focused on identifying ways to address the needs of our customers and the most pressing healthcare needs in the community. I graduated from James Madison University and hold a master’s degree and Ph.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I also serve on the Board of Trustees. I am also a 2015 Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) fellow and serve on LGC's Board of Directors.
