Hazen & Sawyer , P.C. is an environmental services company which specializes in drinking water, wastewater, wet weather, water resources, energy and sustainability, conveyance.

I have had experience in pretty diverse environments in the past couple of years. My first internship in 2005 was for the NY Road Runners Foundation, which was a non-profit. After that I made the jump to the corporate world by interning at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and architecture firm in Wall Street. I spent three years there, the first as a marketing intern, and the next two in Information Technology. I found my niche in that field, and it brought me to Ambac, where I once again acted as the IT intern. As an employee, I garnered the courage and sense of initiative to learn from my coworkers. Not being afraid to ask questions facilitated my learning on the job, and my engagement enabled me to quickly become an integral team member. I also strove to educate myself on the industry in which the firm I worked for specialized. In my non-profit job, the main message was the importance of maintaining a healthy and organized lifestyle. My next two firms taught me a lot not only the requisite skills in the technology and marketing fields, but a lot about the trade and inner workings of both the architecture and finance worlds. The most important thing for me as an intern at these places was to not only take from my experience the knowledge that I gained from coworkers, but to use that in effect to be a very productive, efficient, and as a result an irreplaceable member of my group.
