I may quite possibly be one of the world's only extroverted copywriters. Being a people person coupled with a heavy dose of empathy allows me to intuitively tap into my clients' deeper stories. At an early age, I fell in love with reading and writing poetry and prose. But it wasn't until I was introduced to copywriting that I found a way to marry my love of words with my calling to be of service. Before my life as a copywriter, I took on different roles including wine educator and manager at a doggy daycare and lodging facility as well as at a local restaurant. Immersing myself in different industries has given me an opportunity to create a broad foundation of experience I can draw from when writing for clients. It has also helped me sharpen my adaptability muscles, allowing me to step into the unknown and learn on the spot. I stumbled upon copywriting quite unexpectedly. A close friend of mine moonlighted at a boutique marketing agency. Occasionally she would reach out to me for help with creating memorable product descriptions and snappy taglines so when a position opened up, she recommended me. They brought me onto the team and I worked there until the agency shifted away from copywriting. Human connection is at the heart of all my copywriting and brand messaging strategy - in both my connection with clients and their connection with their audience. Building authentic relationships is the most sustainable and effective method for growing a brand and business.
