I deliver value to rapidly growing startup operations in three specific ways: Leadership (People, Projects, Strategy) - I've led large operations teams during rapid startup growth. I have tried to be a "front line" leader who seems operations for as they are by being present in all aspects of the operation regularly in order to get a constant stream of feedback from front line employees. I've built out teams in a fast-paced environment through aggressive but responsible recruiting processes. In addition to direct-report people leadership, I've led large, long-term projects and have been a part of key operations strategy teams that have built long-term plans for rapidly growing startups with the intent of ensuring responsible growth through making thoughtful, strategic operational decisions and investments. Financial Acumen - I've created large dollar operating budgets, built and aligned with finance teams on CAPEX expenditure NPV and IRR preparations for board approval of large dollar projects, and have worked with accounting teams on P/L trends. I'm very comfortable with common business goals of improving inventory turns to increase working capital, of improving cash flow conversions, and other key financial targets that rapidly growing startups need to focus on in order to ensure healthy growth over coming years. Technology- I've led large-dollar operations software implementations (Warehouse Management Systems), have been a part of a greater ERP software implementation team, and have been involved in planning phases for other operations management systems (order management systems, demand planning systems, new shipper implementations). I've been a Product Owner for a number of systems, both web-site level back-end operations systems as well as larger enterprise systems. I'm comfortable with Agile methodologies of software development, working directly with engineers daily, as well as contract negotiation processes for large dollar software agreements.
