Chris is a public intellectual and strategic advisor. He is a researcher and an analyst on emerging technologies, behavioural economics, risk, entrepreneurship, innovation, futurism, and their broader impact on the economy and society.His current research focuses on virtual character development and the human experiences of artificial intelligence (AI) through fieldwork and experiments with IBM Watson and IPSoft Amelia. Another recent research collaboration with NASDAQ and Tanium, "The Accountability Gap: Cybersecurity and Building a Culture of Responsibility" benchmarks and assesses the vulnerabilities of global corporate leaders to key cybersecurity challenges. Other current research areas are smart homes, blockchain, and IoT.Recent and upcoming keynote talks include ICRS, Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), Insurance Innovation and Disruption, CIFAS, Employee Benefits Live, ReWork Technology, Euromoney Corporate Summit, Cybersecurity Summit, Enterprise Wearables Summit, and Most Contagious. He speaks regularly at corporate events and dinners.He consults and partners with industry clients including recent engagements with Visa, Rackspace, PayPal, the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), DigitasLBi, Edelman, AVG, Trend Micro, PwC, and IBM. Chris is a certified PMP, PRINCE2, AGILE, and SCRUM project manager.Working with global media agency Mindshare, his recent research projects on wearable technologies and AI - 'Project Virtual Assistant', 'SHIFT 2015'​, 'Human Cloud'​ and 'Human Cloud at Work'​ - featured in over 400 broadcasters and publications worldwide including BBC Newsnight, BBC Radio 4, USA Today, Telegraph, Monocle, Daily Mail, Voice of Russia, and Sky. He conducted experiments with BBC Click on the privacy and social implications of rogue 'Evil Twin' WiFi networks in public spaces like parks, hotels, airports, and coffee shops.Chris writes regular guest op-ed columns for CNN and CityAM.
