Gallup.Com provides data-driven news based on U.S. and world polls, daily tracking and public opinion research. Articles and videos cover news, politics, economy, behavioral economics, wellbeing, world issues, management, and employee engagement.

As Executive Director of Software Development and Services, I lead Gallup’s software development initiatives, which include the company’s global Web presence, enterprise-wide software, e-commerce solutions and internal software implementations. I work closely with other department directors to support Gallup’s mission and objectives. I also meet with clients to present Gallup’s technical capabilities and best practices and consults with them on solutions that meet their technical and Web visualization needs. I serve as the hiring manager for Software Development and Services, including the department’s managers, senior software engineers, technical project managers and technical project engineers. I am responsible for employee engagement and development and creates departmental training plans, certification plans and measurement objectives. I also serve as a resource planner, help set the department’s overall objectives and manage the department’s budget. I manage an external software purchasing budget and am responsible for vendor contract terms and negotiation. I joined Gallup in 1999 as a System Applications Developer. I became a Software Performance Line Lead in 2001 and assumed my current role in 2014. I earned my associate’s degree in computer science from the Lincoln School of Commerce and my bachelor’s degree in management from Bellevue University.
