I grew up on a farm in a small town in Wisconsin. My dad taught both my brother and I what hard work looks like at a very young age. My mom is the most creative person I know, and can pretty much make anything you ask her to from a quilt to a beautiful dining room table. She inspires me daily and unknowingly reassures me that a creative career is where I belong. I studied art (my passion) and business (my safety net) at UW - Madison. Before graduating, I was able to land my first internship with First Business Bank. Little did I know that I would still be here 15 years later. I've worked freelance as a "side gig" for that entire time and have enjoyed it all. I never thought that being a part of a marketing team for a financial institution would be where I'd spend the majority of my career - I always thought some agency would be where I'd land. But after a few short years, I realized I was wrong. First Business Bank is fast-paced, drives my creative decision making daily, and I've learned more here about marketing and advertising than I would have anywhere else. My job is constantly evolving. I've grown from a creative intern to managing the First Business Bank brand and all media buying and advertising. And my position has grown with my family. The support that First Business Bank has given me as I've gone from getting married, to having children, and moving to a different city is remarkable and something I know is hard to find. I love my job and am excited to be a part of First Business Bank as we continue to grow and evolve.
