The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (the Bank) is a federally chartered company. The Bank provides credit to members principally in the form of secured loans, called advances. It also provides funding for home mortgage loans to members approved as Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) through the Mortgage Partnership Finance (MPF) Program. Additional funds are provided by deposits, other borrowings, and the issuance of capital stock. The Bank also provides members and non-members with services, such as safekeeping, wire transfers and cash management.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS•As a member of the NIST Cloud Computing Working Group, contributed to NIST SP 500-293, US Government Cloud Computing Roadmap.•Defined and provided software automation technology for use in testing Unified Communications (UC) deployed on the US National Command Authority’s fleet of aircraft.•Adapted software automation technology to test the ikeGPS system used by the US DoD and DHS for Geographic Information System (GIS)-based remote data capture.•Working Group Chairman for the UC Security Project of the Internet Security Alliance (ISA) sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DHS. Lead 50 volunteers from 42 companies in producing the Applicability of the Security Control Automation protocol (SCAP) to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Systems white paper and the pilot of a prototype system at the National Security Agency (NSA). •President of the Executive Council of the Chicago Chapter of the InfraGard Members Alliance and Midwest Regional Representative for the InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA). Wrote three winning proposals for DHS provided funding to support training and awareness efforts focused on private sector owner/operations of Critical Infrastructures/Key Resources (CI/KR) defined by DHS’s National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP). •A recognized innovative cyber security professional. Responsible for 43 Inventions resulting in 21 issued US Patents and 2 pending US Patent Applications. Inventions spanned the disciplines of cyber security, physical security, public safety, voice communications, and data communications.•Member of the US Secret Service’s Electronic Crimes Task Force (ECTF). •Member of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Security Council.
