The Farm Credit Bank of Texas, headquartered in Austin, Texas, provides wholesale funds and services to 21 rural lending cooperatives in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas. They include 12 Agricultural Credit Associations and 9 Federal Land Credit Associations. The bank is owned by these lending organizations, which in turn offer agricultural credit, mortgage financing and financially related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusiness operations, rural landowners and rural homeowners. Together, the bank and associations comprise the Tenth Farm Credit District, the largest single source of farm, ranch and agribusiness financing in the five-state region.

Stan has 25-plus years of high-level leadership in the corporate, non-profit, and public sectors. He served as a member of the senior management team for a $28 billion financial institution where he led a division responsible for human resources, marketing, communications, corporate event planning, government relations, business continuity planning, strategic planning, and facilities management. In addition to representing his company at the national level on a reputation risk analysis workgroup, he served on the bank's executive committee and as president of the organization’s legislative and political trade association. Before joining Farm Credit, he worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant to a congressman and later as the staff director for a congressional subcommittee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has served on the nonprofit boards of the Texas FFA Foundation, Rodeo Austin, and the Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council. He was raised on a farm/ranch and served as a state FFA officer before graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agricultural Communications. While working in Washington, he earned a graduate degree in International Transactions from George Mason University; and, in 2012, he graduated from Baylor University with an MBA.
