I am currently the Director of Operations at AlphaDraft, a daily fantasy esports company that was acquired by FanDuel in September 2016. Prior to this position, I was Director of Daily Fantasy Sports at StarStreet. And before my journey in DFS began, I was pursuing a PhD in experimental psychology. It's been an interesting ride these last few years. At both AlphaDraft and StarStreet I have leveraged my experience as a player and operator in DFS, and my unique background in psychology to help develop games and features that are both challenging and fun for our users. A few notable achievements in my time at StarStreet: • Designed a system of tiered ‘Beginner’ salary cap games to improve new user retention and long-term success. Based on our VIP rewards system, the Beginner games allow new users to play in games from which high-volume, professional users are prohibited, thus providing a lower-risk environment where the new user can learn and prosper. • Increased the profit of our Pick 5 game by over 100% • Increased the visibility of the StarStreet brand through multiple guest appearances on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio programs --- Research Background: My focus is the application of non-invasive brain stimulation as a treatment for brain injury and mental illness. Through the proper use of these techniques, I believe we can develop new treatments to help patients recover function following both mild and severe brain injury. I have experience using a variety of neuroimaging methods (i.e. EEG, MRI, DTI) to visualize and identify activity associated with cognitive function and dysfunction. I have also used a variety of neuromodulatory techniques (i.e. rTMS, TBS, tDCS, tACS) to investigate and rehabilitate brain function.
