The DWP and Atos provide little detailed information to claimants. The Freedom of Information Act backed up by the Human Rights Act and the Equality Act (Disability Discrimination Act) have allowed individuals to find the information important to claimants. As more information is published fewer claimants are denied. It is clear from my correspondence that the DWP approach is to "deny, delay, and defend" and by delaying claims increases the likelihood that the claimant will give up. Atos exploits a "non medical" model for assessing medical conditions. This has been described as pseudo-science hokum.
