I am the Manager in charge of the audit for the Corporate and Institutional Banking division of one of our main UK Banking clients. This has increased the scope of my banking experience that was previously Retail Banking focused by including Trading and Investment Banking areas. On this engagement I manage a team of between 6-10 individuals at any one time. Previously I managed the Banking Operations audits of various Retail Banking clients, focusing on the payments, deposit, loan and cash management processes within these entities. I have a split portfolio with an Extended Assurance role that has a regulatory focus, working more specifically on the Senior Manager Regime and implementing processes at financial institutions pre-empting the legislation's impact on Senior Managers. This role has allowed me to use my risk based approach from audit in a Risk Advisory role working on designing and implementing a Risk Management Frameworks that supplements the Senior Manager Regime. I have a keen focus of continually developing my knowledge and skill set which has allowed me to excel in my new role across two business lines within the firm. In addition to my own development I enjoy assisting those I work with and consider coaching of junior team members to be of great importance in my day to day activities.
