Decorating Den Interiors, Inc. - Sr. Vice President of Merchandising and Retail Marketing. Responsible for the development and management of the Preferred Supplier Program involving over 100 suppliers from across the home furnishings industry. In this capacity I regularly meet with our Preferred Suppliers and with suppliers wanting to join our program. I attend major markets to evaluate product needs and voids as well as to spot and report on latest design trends. Also responsible for the development and implementation of the corporate retail marketing strategy for over 350 franchises across the US and Canada. This includes the budgeting, planning and implementation of the annual national advertising in various shelter magazines and social media. Develops a quarterly promotional calendar as a guide for the franchisees. Recently supervised the renovation and relaunch of a new company website. Hunter Douglas Hospitality -Vice President of Sale. A successful background as an entrepreneur in the residential design industry and hospitality experience combined with a strong sales background is what brought David to Hunter Douglas Hospitality six years ago. As a recently acquired company of Hunter Douglas these skills were quickly put touse developing the Window Covering products and organizing a national sales team to sell across all product categories. Previous to joining Hunter Douglas Hospitality was a Vice President of Sales for Fabricut Contract where helped develop Fabricut in the Contract arena. Fabricut was in the early stages of developing the hospitality contract and David was instrumental in developing Fabricut as a force in the industry. He cultivated his entrepreneurial skills building the largest Decorating Den franchise in the system and subsequently regional manager of over 50 franchises. Then joined Decorating Den Corporate as Director of Corporate owned Franchises. He was responsible for selling more than 200 franchises across the country.
